The perfect definition of a beautiful chance.
In January 2023, at the start of my very first 5-month journey across Asia, I chose the Philippines almost randomly, with little research or planning. Toward the end of that trip, I discovered Siargao and I fell in love.
In May 2024, I had the privilege of returning for a full month.
That’s when I had the honor of creating this video in collaboration with the Philippine Tourism Office, to showcase the beauty and diversity of this magical island.
With nothing but my camera, my drone, and a scooter, I roamed the island’s roads in search of hidden gems: deserted beaches, palm-lined paths, secret lagoons, and mysterious rivers.
I made the creative choice to craft a cinematic film, one that highlights the soul of the island, not my own presence.
The result: 54 seconds of visual poetry, echoing hours of awe and wonder.
